Diet and Nourishment in Pregnancy

Nourishment has a number of definitions. There is the nourishment that good nutrition brings that is so important to the growth of your baby. When pregnant one must nurture and nourish your unborn baby with the best of foods no matter how much of a nuisance it is to peel and prepare nectarines and other fruits and vegetables.

When pregnant, the parents of the new, soon-to-be family are the nucleus of the unborn's world. Even if you are a novice at pregnancy you will find discover raw nerve, letting nothing get in the way of caring for your unborn baby's needs. It is a most noble calling and you will definitely not have neutral feelings about the care you are giving. You may be surprised to find that you are non-negotiable when friends offer neighborly advice. Nobody but you knows what is best for your baby.

Did you know that the more you and your partner nuzzle, nibble and nap together, while the baby is growing inside you, that you are also nurturing your unborn? When pregnant, nauseous, needy and even a little nasty tempered that is the perfect time to note your neediness and ask for a hug. Planning the nursery and nesting at home all promote positive nurturing for you precious little one. Quiet time also nurtures your baby, as they are as affected by noise as you are. Unborn babies can be awakened from a nap by loud noises just as you can. A nocturnal kicking baby may be novel but with nowhere for you to go and no comfortable position to find, at night it can drive you nutty.

Whether this is baby number one or another addition to the family, the news will be welcomed throughout the family and neighborhood. While you are still numb from the birth experience, people will want to be notified about the grand homecoming. While you want to rest, nest and nurse there will be nosey, nervy neighbors and friends that want to invade your privacy. Don't think you have to be nice, if the time isn't right for visits, hang a note on the door and say NO! Not now. It is necessary to say no.

Take notes on this nifty time in your life. No two pregnancies are alike and this time will pass so quickly. Be sure to nurture yourself and your unborn, there is nothing narcissist about that notion.
